Getting to know Chanclas personally makes this place my number 1 spot to go to in Mexico. THis place has the best food, a little variety from all sorts of different cuisines will bring good feeling to your belly. My favorite is the Rabo de ternera and also the croquet's, but i mean the bread itself is great. If you have a chance to stop by ask for chanclas, the man is a legend.
A great little "street" cafe in a cool part of Polanquito, reminiscent of similar business one would find in Europe. Specifically, Spain, since its a Tapas bar. Large coolers of iced champagne on the bar, Lots of wealthy Families hanging out with kids, some in strollers sleeping, others quietly sitting with their coloring books, no Chanclas being thrown at unruly children here... A good spot to hang out and people watch, and while away a sunny, lazy Sunday afternoon...
Tapas and family style entrees. Spanish style. Highlights were piquillos stuffed with ground beef, shrimp with garlic butter, and charred octopus. Solid menu and good prices for nice dinner in Polanco.

I go here often; as far as authentic Spanish food it's one of the best and most reasonably priced in the city. Nice ambiance, great to talk, usually good for people watching as well...Great wine selection. I generally would recommend this as a lunch place and then move into the center of 'polanquito' for drinks and into the night...
